Currently in Los Angeles — June 14, 2024: A toasty warm weekend

An unusual cut off low spinning off the coast of SoCal will move into the forecast area before it heads on to Arizona, tamping down temperatures a bit. In its wake, a ridge will fully come into the picture for Friday and Saturday. This will give way to some offshore flow and perhaps the warmest temperatures of the season, with 90s for the warmest inland valleys, mid-80s around DTLA and even mid-70s for the beaches. Perfect beach weather and hopefully a sign of a nice summer ahead.
