Currently in Los Angeles — June 12, 2024: Thicker morning marine layer

The weather, currently.

After an early part of the week with a more shallow marine layer, look for a deeper marine layer Wednesday and Thursday as high pressure gives way to an upper low moving through the region. Once that low moves to our east by Friday, dry northwest winds will ramp up temperatures and even the beaches might get in on some of the heat action.
